Since 2014 schools have been working toward certification in VBRD. This means that the visible signs of virtue education and restorative practices is evident and students, staff and parents report having a positive experience at school. In 2017, due to the growing number of schools implementing this initiative, a special team has been assigned to re-evaluate what certification means, and how to help schools begin their implementation with specific steps toward certification after attending their first RD Summer Institute. We are also looking at special course offerings for staff and parents interested in learning more about VBRD. This will be part of the planning process for certification.

This new certification process will be announced in conjunction with the 2018 RD Summer Institute, so watch for details.
